2nd shift Welder Hartford, WI

Our Hartford client, a full-service fabrication shop, is looking for an experienced  Welders. 1st and 2nd shifts available!

$18-22/hr, $2000 service bonus, and $2/hr premium for 2nd shift.


  • Accurately interpret weld symbols on blueprints / drawings
  • Perform quality welds in correct areas as designated by blueprints / drawings
  • Perform welding in flat and horizontal positions using GMAW processes on carbon and stainless steel
  • Perform quality checks on parts using a tape measurer
  • Repair weld defects as needed
  • Change wire spools, contact tips, nozzles, diffusers and perform other basic weld machine maintenance
  • Set up machines and weld according to a welding procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Work from blueprints / drawing to produce finished product in a timely manner
  • Perform all job duties as indicated on lower-level welding job duties
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Line lead / Supervisor


Education:  High School / GED

Experience and/or Training: 

  • 3 months previous manual welding, or combined education and experience
  • Basic math and measurement skills; able to accurately read a tape measurer in production of product
  • Able to set up machines and weld according to welding procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Able to change wire spools, contact tips, nozzles, diffusers and perform other basic weld machine maintenance
  • Able to meet production rate requirements
  • Ability to achieve necessary GMAW weld certifications


  • Must be able to continuously sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds
  • Continuous physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to achieve J2 Jaeger eye score


  • Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, and STD at first of month following 59 days
  • 10 paid Holidays + 5 days paid vacation + 5 unpaid days off during first year
  • Matching 401(k) retirement contribution first of next quarter following 1 year of employment
