Saige Partners is currently looking for a Product Manager to join the team of one of our growing clients in the Des Moines, IA are who is a leader in technology to makes our roads safer.  The Engineering Product Manager is accountable for ensuring that our client is delivering amazing service to our customers and service center technicians. This role will be involved with drive device install, de-install, servicing, calibrations and troubleshooting process satisfaction. These processes are crucial to our customer experience as they are one of the few in-person interactions as well as one of the first (installation) and one of the last (de-installs). The Engineering Product Manager will understand the needs of our customers and service center technicians to develop and drive the delivery of our device product roadmap.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand the needs and measure the satisfaction of our customers (service center technicians and customer) as it relates to the service center experience
  • Develop and drive the implementation of the product roadmap as it relates to installations, de-installation, calibration and troubleshooting processes
  • Define product requirements, stories and personas
  • Understand automotive electronics and industry trends to ensure product roadmap supports evolving vehicles
  • Ensure at all times our products maintain certification as defined by states, testing bodies as appropriate per jurisdiction
  • Participate in overall product strategic planning and roadmap development
  • Stay connected to the industry, understanding competitor and adjacent products
  • Maintain strong internal business stakeholder relationships
  • Have a deep understanding of products and service center processes
  • Triage issues with Engineering and prioritize and deliver fixes
  • Communicate customer satisfaction and initiatives to improve

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to translate end user feedback into technical
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with technical and nontechnical audiences
  • 5+ years experience in product development lifecycles; ideally in the automotive space
  • User experience background; experience taking customer feedback and translating into actions
  • Data analysis skills; able to define metrics and interpret data to make sound business decisions
  • EE or ME technical degrees preferred
  • Experience with automotive electronics and on-board computers
  • Strong project management skills
